Im trying to remove the lever from my 1892. I pretty much have it stripped down to just the lever and the bolt. I have found exploded views but dont really see how to push out the pin that holds the lever on. If anyone can help I would be very thankful.

There's a big screw on the left side about in the middle towards the top of the receiver.  It is a plug that keeps the lever pin from falling out.  Remove the plug and then push the pin out through that hole.

Got it....thanks.

I was just not tapping hard enough. I was scared I was going to jam something up. I got it though. It would have helped if I had dont that step earlier in the disassemble so the bolt would have been locked in place. As it was I had to push it forward for it to line up.

I just cant help myself....I like to know how my guns work and either fix them myself or at least give it a go......but will stop for a professional if I feel I will really booger something up.

This gun will actually be going to Nate in the future.....just wanted to see if I could tell what was broken.

The lever was really pretty easy. I just went a little out of order and made it harder on myself than it should have been. Least now I know.  ;)

Rube, this page has good info on working on the '92:

If you take the bolt out, the best hint is to snap an empty case under the extractor against the bolt face to hold the ejector in place inside the bolt while you reinstall the lever.

punchin' that pin out is not the hard part...........good luck gettin' it back together.  read the Marauders link
