When you ignite 3.5 drams (106gr) of ffg Goex under 16 pellets of 00 buck in a 2 7/8" brass 10ga case?  Things move..... :o  Great load for land clearing and general stump removal...but I wouldn't want to shoot too many of them in a row! :P

I bet! Not to mention, every living thing in the county has to change its shorts too!  ;D

Sort of like a 12 Pounder firing a canister round or Grapeshot.  Impressive to say the least!
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

I believe that's about 2/3rd the load that my pard Silver Creek Slim uses!

I call his 10 ga. "The Dragon!"

(That's because of a great picture that was published in The Shootist,  the bi-monthly publication of NCOWS.  The pic was taken at night, and the flame looked to be AT LEAST 10 ft. long!  I think George "Lone Gunman" Warnick took the picture.)

I have a friend with a tightly choked Winchester model 12 in 12 gauge that uses spicy loads with number 5's to shoot off the branches that get in the way of his hunting stands.  Far faster and easier than a saw on a pole, and believe me, you can reach a whole lot farther too...  It did feel a bit odd to do it that way, but would have been way more fun with black - I think he used Herco.

My brother gets 8 shells/lb of BP and pound of shot with his 10 gauge.  After touching off the first shot, he'll turn to the TO and ask if that was a squib load.  Probably a bit of overload for CAS. ;D
