The Columbus Rifle Club presents:

3rd Friday night
monthly fun
Cowboy Match

Our first Friday night fun match, held in April, was a fun evening for all.  We shot one stage then  a few folks shot through a second time.  Some "modern" shooters even tried the cowboy game and seemed to enjoy it.
Our next 3rd Friday night will be May 21st.
We will start to set up by 5pm or come by 6pm to shoot.  If you have a long range old fashioned rifle you would like to try, bring it along.  New Cowboys are welcome.  If you want to see what the Cowboy Action game is all about or just want to practice for that next big match, your welcome at the Columbus Rifle Club's Cowboy fun nights.

Hope to See ya' there.

The second Friday night cowboy fun night of 2010 is in the bag.  About a dozen shooters joined us.   A couple of new shooters and a couple more from our own club.
We used the star for rifle target with a dump for the extras and around the clock with the pistol.
everyone shoot through twice then we took some shots at a little target set out about 75 yards away, just for fun.
Next month I think we will see some bottles thrown in the air with each shotgun knock down.
Mark June 18 on  your calender.  I know it's the night before the Cornhusker state games but think of it as a good warm up.

I just reread my last post and relixed it's sort of poetic or pathetic, not sure which.

For the August practice fun night I have something in mind similar to the torward moving trail walk we did at the GAF dept of Mis. Muster.  complete with some reloading.  Not sure of the particulars yet.

Good time, good people, good practice, maybe next month will be a bit cooler.
