Shooting at Fort Hood

There has been a mass shooting at Fort Hood, TX.

Army now confirms 12 dead, 31 wounded. The shooters were soldiers.

Correction.  Shooter.  Singular.  As in ONE.  He was a soldier.  He was an OFFICER.  HE WAS A PSYCHIATRIST.  HE WAS A LIFELONG MUSLIM. 

I am so angry right now that any other comment I might make is not for public consumption.

My Army.    MY ARMY!!!!  The Army I have served all of my adult life!!  The Army I have sweated and bled for.  MY ARMY!!!!

I am afraid I am thinking VERY Un-Christian thoughts at this moment.

Regardless of his motivations, this is a terrible thing.  My prayers and thoughts go out to all the people and families involved, the shooter and his family included.

After doing some searching, found a couple of articles about shooter possibly using the Herstal 5-7.  After doing a search on that, It is a nasty round.

There was a short piece this p.m. which said in the days preceeding the incident he'd given away many personal possetions, including his Koran.  From the piece it sounds like he had a whole room full of personal demons to deal with.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey said Sunday it's important for the country not to get caught up in speculation about Hasan's Muslim faith, and he has instructed his commanders to be on the lookout for anti-Muslim reaction to the killings at the Texas post.

I still say he pulled this because he was a religious zealot.  If was too chickenshit to pull the trigger against his own kind then why didn't he sit in his living room and eat a bullet?

Am I the only one here that thinks I am gonna be even more angry than I am now when the whole story of this heinous act is known?

Prayers up for all those who lost their lives, those who were wounded, and the families of those who were killed and wounded.  Prayers for and my thanks to all the Soldiers and civilians that responded to this tragedy averting further bloodshed.

13 counts of premeditated murder.

Now there is speculation that the Army Court Martial will not give him the death penalty.  I call bullshit.  How could they NOT issue the death penalty in this case?

Also, being the CIC, BHO has to sign of on the execution too.
