Hi All,
I recently got a Model 1876 with the single set trigger. All of the trigger parts are there as well as the mainspring, but the  problem is that I am missing the hammer. I recently bought a hammer but it is for the standard trigger. From looking at the trigger in my rifle, it looks like the hammer needs to have a groove cut along the right side of the area where the notches are to allow fir the projection on the trigger. I have a milling machine and can do this well, but I need to know what the groove is supposed to look like. Would anyone know where I could get a pic of of a single set hammer?  Thanks in adavance..   Phil

You'll also have to make a set trigger fly and then mill out a bed and drill a hole to lay the fly in on the opposite side of the hammer.  Remember, these hammers are generally hard as flint.

Adios,
Buck
