For over a year I have been worrying myself about shortening my OT barrels to 5 1/2 inches.  What tormented me was the cutting of the dovetail for the front sight.  I've handcut dovetails on a octagon barrel, but not a round.

Well, I contacted Flint and he dovetailed and installed front sights on the two OT barrels and my two Walker barrels, which will be 6" ling when done.

Great turnaround, one week, and great work.

Thanks Flint for helping me keep at least 5 years of my life.

Capt Agustus,

Congratulations.  I've cut almost all my Open Tops and Navy R-M Conversions back to the Ejector Rod housing.  Works out to 4 7/16" barrels.  Short(er) barrels are fun!!

OOPS ......... My Richards type 1s are 5" as that is the length of the housing.
