Two other pards and I have been selected to review our local rules for KC's Corral. Due to the nature of our range, we can not shoot by pure SASS rules. One that seems to be a sticking point is using two hands to draw a pistol. You know, one hand holding the holster and one drawing the pistol. This has been a rule at our club since before I started shooting with them. Being the type that always has to ask "why," here I am.
Seems to me, that the suposed dangers of doing it with two hands are already covered in the SASS rules. If you sweep yourself while doing it, it is a safety violation. If you don't sweep yourself while doing it, no problem.
Do any other clubs have this rule? Why do you have it?
Once we settle our local rules, they will be published and publicised to all that might shoot with us, that way there will be no misunderstandings.
Much obliged to everyone in advance for your help with this.
I am posting this in an effort to help a pard who posted the same question on the Wire
