Ottawa Creek Bill

This is a quick edit of a scene that is the prelude to the big gunfight between the camp occupants and Traps Gang of Outlaws. The timing is not quite right, but will be once I get everything edited.

To set the scene, Trap has just told everyone in the saloon to put their hands on the table. Lorenzo Lain a Cavalry deserter from Custer's 1874 expeditionary force to the Black Hills, recognizes Trap from a wanted poster he saw (notice I didn't say read) in Dodge City. This scene is mild compared to the rest of the film.

We went through close to 200 full load black powder blanks in this 15 minute western...you should have seen the interior of the saloon once the gun battle started...wow!!

Dave Hollandsworth and Bart Stewart made sure the blanks were loaded safely and all guns met the requirement of being 1874 or before.

It'll take a minute to load...hope you enjoy it.

Bill, even with my dial up it didn't take that much time to load.  It looks great.  I'm with Dave, I can't wait to see the entire thing.

Again thanks to the person who posted the video directly without having to go through the url to see it. How do you do that?

Delmonico,
Yes there was a very distinct smell of fire and brimstone in the saloon.....surely a good indication of what odoriferous aroma will emanate from hell....of which I personally do not wish to experience......that's is why I've become a more kinder/gentler OCB.

TJ......
Trap was a good sport about this whole thing...even though he was the leader of the outlaw gang, he got killed off pretty early. When you see the full length video you'll see Trap has the most dialog....and he got paid more....... ;)

I think Trap and Lorenzo Lain took the fall to the floor like pros, that was hard ground and no padding underneath either of them.

Forty Rod

Now I understand about second-hand smoke being deadly.  It's all full of fire and lead.

Good stuff, Bill.  I'd like to see it all.
