Picken' new pistols!

I got primers and I got brass ! Now I'm going shopping for some new sixguns. I have a Beretta Stampede Marshall 45 colt on the overland coach and a M92 45 colt model on the short list.

The above guns were picked on price rather than what I would like to have at the moment. If my first year in CAS goes well I'll get the gear to dress and shoot the gear of a Civil War vet in 1872. I'll at some time I'll get either a Henry or a win 66 and I'm not sure what to do for period correct pistols.

I was going to get a couple open-tops in 45 colt but I'm hearing thats a bad idea. and I have not seen a S&W #3 that is correct for what I would like to do. I've seen russians and scofields only. I'd like to stick with 45 colt cartridge to keep things simple as I'll hang on to the M92 for wild bunch matches.
