Cowboy, have you tried rolling a pistol to make a pattern. I never owned any patterns until a few weeks ago so I have always made my own. Just a thought if no one comes up with one for you.

Oh wow, man that is so groovy....

Sorry; let me get my brain back in the appropriate century ....

Actually, I have the same problem trying to find a holster for my Schofields .... thought I was gonna have to buy one of those cheap cast guns that they use to mold holsters.

I made this one, but it was a bull barrel gun. Might work anyway.

Cowboy, what did you haave in mind, a real old west cowboy look (Cheyenne/MexLoop), SASS cowboy Comp style or more like a field carry design?  I just sold a pretty little lined and tooled pair of these recently, I found that a lot of the older Colt patterns were so tight that, with good 8/9oz of leather, the Ruger SS actually fit better?  I dearly love the old pattern sources but find that I rarely use them other than for appearance guidelines.  I have pretty much grabbed up everything that I have stumbled across over the years except the giant coffee table book by (my-my I cant even remember the old giants name) but I do have most of those patterns in other formats.

Some many years ago I had an almost complete Collection of the early leathercraft magazine and lost almost all of them in a move,  you bet there were some good holster designs lost there.  It would be great to share some of this but one never knows the status copywrite protection on old books and magazine articles.  If I can get some of my summer projects caught up before winter ends I would like to develop and redevelop some modern pattens for concealed carry and combat handgun competition.

OH by the way, the Ruger SS holsters were mine, I did not make them to sell.  I am one of those guys who is willing to fit several guns into a single rig, rather than try and have a different rig for ever set of guns!!!
