Well Ricky what is it 44 or 45? there is a bit of difference. You just might want to reload when you see how much ammo costs. I can get you a Lee Hand Loader for about $25

That's a real purty "Fitty-eight".  Looks just like my cartridge converted Remmie.  When it was still available, I used 3D Blue factory ammo in mine.  Now I use the Winchester brand 45s in mine.  They are standard, mild cowboy loads with 250 gr. lead bullets.  They shoot good and are pretty accurate.   8)

If yer gonna run smokeless, lemme suggest Cowboy .45 Specials available from Ammo Direct.  Satisfying yet mild.

For BP (sub), C45S from TenX, ditto.

None other than Walt Kirst says he likes the round a lot as it is easy on the GUNS (the cylinders will withstand whatever the makers say they will).

:o 8) ;) Who did the finish? Is it a Kirst conversion? Now I know what I want for Christmas!  :D
A work in progress.

Well it's a Uberti and the first conversion i've ever had so it's a learning process for me.I got it from El Guapo over on the sass wire classifieds and he has a couple other really nice ones for sale.I helped a friend sale a camping trailor and he gave me 300.00 for the assistance, didn't want to take it but he siad get after it so i did,saw this and had a little in my piggy bank. The deal was slicker than hot snot on a stuck door knob and El Guapo was an excellent man to do buissness with. The pic he had shown me was not as good as this one and i lucked out on this one with my camera. Two days later it was at my door with the BP cylinder also and blew me away when i opened it and it feel sbetter than the other one one i once had,it was just BP.Probably cuase it's so purty though,i keep polishin on it :D

Ole Curly and Old Top gave me a used lee loader for it they don't use anymore..."sniff" aaheem~~~Dust ::)
