Wild bunch match rules

Hello Guys , I gusee i may start a whole war here but I would like to know if the browning A-5 Made in 1903 would be eligible for wild bunch matches , the 1911 is an it was made years later an automatic , but when i tried to find out an look into the rules for em it stated that no auto shotguns were eligable , , can someone tell me if this is the case or not ? Wild Bunch rules vary a bit depending upon where you shoot them.  Most do require an 1897 shotgun though.  The Wild Bunch matches are built around the movie The Wild Bunch and the '97 is what they used in that movie.

Just seemed to me if they were going to allow the 1911 they should allow anything up to that point , JMHO ,T

Actually, mostly they used model 12s in the movie. ;)
