Glad ya likes it pard.  I was always a Ford man, but in '97 I bought a F-150 with the little V8 to save fuel.  That little rig never saw the bright side of 15 mpg.  Now I travel five states and about 35,000 miles a year.  I had a '91, '94, and now a '01 Chevy that never got less then 15 mpg.  This one is one quick truck and gets 17.4 (I use a card lock fueler that computes mpg each month).
I would rather be driving a Ford, but money talks.

Gosh Red. By time you added that cap, why din't ya just buy a Suburban in the first place? 

Been driving this '99 Suburban 3/4 ton for a few years now. We tow a 31 foot travel trailer, and the truck hardly knows it's back there. Except when we stop for gas. Costs almost $95 to fill the tank these days. He gets about 12 mpg normally, and around 8 mpg in tow-duty. Still cheaper 'n' more fun than any other way to travel.

No point in showin' a pic of the truck, as it looks like any other '99 'burb. Here's a tight shot of one of my assistant drivers, though.

I used to drive a 1984 3/4 ton Suburban. Ugly two tone brown, but when we scrapped it, it had 416000 miles on the original 350!!! Belive me or not, but I think the Suburban is the best! I miss her every day, til I look out on my S10 Blazer that still has gas in it! Congrats Red, on your new ride!!!
