Seth, the fixture you can either buy for $ 40.00, or it can be loaned to you for use, with a refundable deposit of $ 40.00 (the deposit is for the case of someone who may 'forget' to return it ;) )

The first drill bits/taps worked for us with no problems, then cam BDM and his excessively hard frame.....we went back and decided that though the first set was reasonable in price, the quality of the drill bit wasn't sufficient for those too hard frames that seem to be out there, and the titainium bits are just too expensive to sell, so we went with a much higher quality bit that should make thing easier for all of us, though they cost more at $ 35.00 for the set.  While this may seem high, it is a high quaility set, and priced just above our actual cost, so it's not a 'money maker' for us.
Well..........Bye!

Too elaborate on what Cheyenne said. When I made my kit I was unable to drill it with the bit R&D had sent. So I switched to a Titanium drill bit, which did the job.

I called Kenny Howell to tell him about it and he asked me to send him the gun to check out. After he got the gun he told me he's never seen an Italian frame that was so hard. He's now picked out a drill bit that should deal with even a rock-hard frame like mine. Those drill bits are more pricey, but they are worth it.

But you don't have to buy a drill bit from R&D. They will be sold separately from the cylinders & rings. You can buy the drill and tap from Brownells or anywhere. All you need is a 6" long #35 drill bit and a 6" long 6x32 tap.

Another new development, in case it was missed elsewhere, R&D is now offering a drill/tap service for the conversions....$ 25.00 + shipping to drill/tap your frame for the conversion.  You can do it yourself, or save 10 bucks and let us do it for you.

Then all that is left is to put on the plate, and cut the loading groove.
Well..........Bye!
