U.S. Scout - Have a good mission. Come back safe and with everything accounted for.

Dr B - Were you going to start a GAF chapter of the Order of Cincinnati for current & prior commissioned officers (all services/branches)? I know that you, U.S. Scout, St Geo, Pony Racer, and now Matt Lewis qualify and likely a bunch more. You've got the perfect eye for protocol and detail on this sort of thing.

If I were to think of an Officers club, I would probably be inclined to go with the Aztec Club which began during the Mexican War!  It's Victorian and would have been around post ACW.  I'll give it some thought and discuss it with Gen. Scout upon his return.

I have returned!

We had a good mission but the trip wore me out.  I find as I get older it takes longer to recover from flying half-way around the world and back.

Give me a few days to catch up on postings that took place in my absence as I'm also now engaged in my son's Eagle project (he is unloading, sorting, and inventorying $87,000 worth of school supplies for 15,000 needy children).

Glad to hear your safely home!

That sounds like an impressive Eagle Project! Is it still less than 5% that make Eagle? Does he have time to add some Palms?
