Hi pards . . . I crave an antiqued '58 Remington.  ( Maybe a pair. )  I have several '58s, both brass and steel framed, . .  and the steel frame ones are just "too nice" to antique.  I can't bring myself to mess with them.   So am in the market for a project '58.  Broken ?,  well used ?, missing parts ? . . or ? .  I'd prefer a Pietta as I have extra cylinders and parts for them.  Though I also have a couple of ASMs and a Euroarms.  So . . . what ya got ?   A beat up, well used one that you want to part with ?  Let me know.   :)

Wolfgang;

I have a pair of "patinaed" 1858 Remington copies by Pieta.  They are in perfect working condition.  They came new, looking old.
I would part with one or the pair.

The silly thing is, the old looking ones sell for more that the ones that look new. ::)

I have been asking $ 225 for one or $ 400 for the pair.

Sounds possible.  Can I see pictures ?    Price was never a consideration.  I just can't bring myself to go to work on a perfect ( or very near perfect ) pistol with the vinigar !   :)  Let me know re pictures.  E-mail to me ?   :)

Very nice "family" pic.  That sheriff model makes want to fire up the shopsmith. ;D

Muley Pete . . here's the way I did the cylinder pin retainer for the "Sherriff's Model".

That was a really rough ASM that came as part of a deal on other stuff.   Might have been a "kit gun" originally. I figured that a Sherriff's Model was a good use for it.   :)

They just don't "look like a Remington" without a web under the barrel   :)
