Took my 76 to the Range

Took my 76 in 45/60 to range today for our rifle shoot. The load I shot was 15 grns Trailboss with a 300 grn local cast projectile.There is 13 shots in the target only over 50 yds

That doesn't look too bad. When you say 13 in the target, how many total did you shoot? A little break in time and things will get better.

Dan, I believe your groups will tighten up using 24.5gr of 4198 with some toilet paper as wad stuffing.
I've had good groups using XMP5744 in the 45-75

We shoot 29 rounds, 3 sighters, and can keep any tens,if no tens are shot we shoot 2 strings of 13 rounds and score the best 10 scoring shoots.that targets I have posted is my second string of 13.

Monday of next week I'm off to the rifle range for a 300yd lever action shoot in the morning and a single shot rifle event in the afternoon,I'll be taking the 76 down for the shoot in the morning with a load similar to that load you mentioned,but will be using an Aussie made powder AR 2207 and the same 300 grn projectile.
