For Sale, Englishwoman and child

Howdy folks

No I don't have an Englishwoman and 10 year son for sell, but I do have a set that are going to Texas in early June. They are friends of mine whose spouse is going to some geeky science convention in San Antonio from 3 June to the 12th.

Now she thinks I am somewhat strange, well actually very strange, but I have been showing her my SASS stuff and the websites and she thinks it is really cool. I have come up with cowboy names for her and the boy. I tell her to put on her best Lee Van Cleff impression and introduce herself as "The Bookkeeper". Her son likes a British Sci Fi series, Dr. Who, that has been on for years, so I call him "Dead-eye Dalek Dan" or "Triple D"

So the point of all this, is there a rodeo taking place at that time they can go to, or is there some way the locals can show this posse a good time?

Sorry Yankee. All the PRCA rodeos begin  Jan.1, in Odessa Tx. and tour the southern states in the fall and winter and the northern states in spring & summer. The only exception to this in Tx is the Pecos Rodeo over the 4th of July. It's just too hot in Tx to hold rodeos outdoors in the summer. Pecos keeps that date because it was originally held on  that date in the 1880s. They and Prescott, Az. both lay claim to the very first pro rodeo. While they're in SA they can visit the Alamo, stroll the River Walk or take a boat ride. Get some outstanding Mexican food & BBQ. They can visit Breckinridge Park & go horseback riding. Shop at the River Center Mall, see the IMAX movie of the Alamo.  There's a lot to keep them busy.

the Col. is right about the PRCA moving north in the hot weather.............However it is Texas and sure there is plenty to do there
