I want everyone to know how great full i am to have all of you as my friends! As we look back and Honor Those That have fought for our way of life, and lost there's, and we also look back at our love ones that we have lost in the past. Before I found this family, this weekend ever year was sad for me, because in the last few years, I had lost my sister, and several of my life long mentors! With those losses and my injury, all seemed to play a toll on me this time of the year!
But then :o I found a brand new family and mentors :) :) and my life has changed! I am sad, but not to the point that I had been in years past!
To sum things up, you take RT's post on a Holster, and look at what Our Family Here did! :) Everyone jumped in, and gave a lending hand, and in a way that no one said, this is how it has to be, but a group of friends trying to help a friend! :)
I am so proud to be a part of this group, and I hope that most of you feel the same!! No bashing, no trashing, just lending a helping hand!

God Bless all of you!
May each and everyone of you, have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Ditto to what Ace said! Hats off to all the fallen.

Hey DR. Bob, I saw a guy from the WW1 museum on Turner Classic Movies tonite, introducing Sgt. York, and Dawn Patrol. Tell him he did good!

I've been asked by a good friend to officiate the graveside service for his dad, a WWII vet, who died a few months ago. He had been living in Wyoming, but will be buried here in Oregon, next to his wife, a WWII Army nurse, who died several years ago. The interment will be this Thursday (May 28th)

What a privilege! I have the greatest respect for all our vets, and consider it a blessing to honor this man. My dad, who died four yeatrs ago, was a WWII combat vet, and I still miss him a lot.

God bless our veterans, JD
