Outstanding in every way! I'm sure the man upstairs is smiling about this one.

Kuncklehead, you've outdone yourself. Everything about this cover is excelent. I know we go to the same Tandy Store. I wanted to buy black lace for buckstitching but they said they didn' t have any, and couldn't get any.

So, where did you find the black leather you used for the stitching my friend? Thanks, JD

There is an obvious problem with this work.  I know everyone else has seen it, but is afraid to say it, but being a preacher, well, I've got to lay it on the line.  In a word, jealousy will run rampant among your Christian friends at Bible Study.  Oh, the wiles of the devil to create dissention in the ranks of the Lord...   Now as the good God fearing man that I am, I can offer you a solution: send it to me. ;D ;D

thanks everyone, but i know that there is still some improvements to be made. as we all know there is no project done perfect.

JD, i just used standard 1/8" kangroo lace for the buckstitching.
i did not know about special buckstitching lace.

Jamie, if i was to keep this i would be the envy for sure. but i was making this for a coworker. she requested a bible cover for her mom's birthday. the cover is already in the mail headed to new mexico.

Hey, the greatest gift you can give is something you'd like for yourself.  In the case of the creative, it's just that much better, because not only do you like it yourself, but you give away just a little bit of yourself with it.  That's the good stuff man! :)
