45 LC Ammo - Beginners Question

Pards,
Since I don't load jus yet, I would like to know what mfr & where ta git some ammop (same type) fer my guns.

I will shoot a 45 LC Puma, and AWA's. The thought of low recoil attracts me as long as the dang target can be hit and I don't have ta shoot 12" high ta hit it.

I suspect you pards know what I should use and need a bit of advice.

When I get lazy and don't feel like reloadin,I call Ken at TEN-X AMMO ( www.ten-x.com ) He has a very good 45 colt load at a reasnable price. He will ship most anywhere.

A couple of other outfits that offer reasonably-priced .45 Colt "Cowboy" load (read moderate velocity and recoil) are:

Both have real good deals on .45 and reasonable shipping.  Also, if you send your shot-up brass to either one, they'll reload whatever load you want for about half the price of new ammo.

Well when I want to buy some Cowboy .45's I just make a right and go down the road to Big R, they always stock that PMC Cowboy ammo, about $20.00 a box.

Even is you don't live here in Great Falls    I would check around locally.  You might be supprised what you find and maybe you won't have to pay shipping.

I use Ammo Direct, out of 2000 rounds, had 1 high primer, and 3 failed to fires, not bad, and the ammo has been real consistant as far as loading, and shooting.

He does a right nice job loadin' CAS ammo.
I load our own, but I buy some of his cast bullets when I get behind.
