Howdy all! I found a cell phone today, and was admiring the case, and noticed this cool clip it had.
http://www.ruggedbrand.com/servlet/the-QuadLock-Clips/Categories

This link is so you can buy ony half of the clip. The other side is a post much like on the back of a cb radio microphone.

Anyone know where these can be had, other than this linked place?
Or another name for them, so I can search them out?
Thanks, DM

Try a radio shop. Maybe you can get one off an old microphone. The little bump on the clip holds the microphone because the stud in the mic has a dimple in the center. If worse comes to worse, you may be able to find a phillips screw with a wide, shallow head that'll work.

Dalton, I have a cell phone case made by that company... er, well, I did... I liked the belt clip arrangement more than the case it's self, so I cut the stud off of the case (actually cut the rivets that held the stud plate to the case) and re-mounted it on a leather case of my own manufacture. I have not seen the stud mount sold seperately, or I would buy a few and use them on my cell phone cases that I make for guys at work.

If you find them, please let the rest of us know where.

Marshal Tac, that is what I was thinking too. I was hoping this phone wouldnt have an owner, but it did. That clip is mighty useful looking, with its 4 positions. I think if a person would deepen the notches on the stud, so that it locked even tighter, it would be very useful for holster duty as well.

Marshall W, I will try to take a pic of it tonite. It belongs to a guy here at work.

Hey Dalton, I wonder if a guy could use a button stud or modify a chicago screw somehow to make it work.
Lost..... I ain't never been lost...... fearsome confused fer a month er two once... but I never been lost.

These studs are a lot bigger than a Chicago screw. They are about as big as the cb radio studs.
I will try to take some pics of the guys at works tomorrow.

This looks like a holder for a Motorola Mic, the kind that police cars and tow trucks used to, and might still have. It's been a long time since I drove and tow truck. If you can find a place that handles used electronic and radio parts, you can probably find old mics from which you can remove the stud on the back and reuse. Just a thought.

FEATHERS

Hi Dalton,Just read your post re cell case, you might want to try a guitar store,as I have 2 straps that have clips that are similar to the one shown, the metal piece on the end of the strap slips right over the strap screw on the guitar.Hope this helps,Feathers.

You can get them from " Ohio Travel Bag Company "
They have a web site.
I get some of my supplies from them.
They have a very big catalog, & it's all on line. Check it out...

Dalton Masterson

Any chance you can link to the page. I am not seeing any of the clips there. Thanks.

In checking the Ohio Travel Bac catalog, I was able to locate the D-stud style of attachment and belt hanger, but not the style that lock in the 4 positions as pictured in the original post.

If I am missing it, please feel free to point it out.
