Does anyone make a Cartridge Belt of 45-75?

I would like to have a cartridge belt for my 45-75.  Winchester used to make a mills belt for these but I don't know of anyone offering a modern belt.  I would assume that you could simply use a 50 cal belt, but does anyone make one?  Failing that, what are folks using?

I couldn't copy the photos, but check the posts by Rattlesnake Jack on carrying ammo for the NWMP Carbine.  The issue waistbelt was a combo, with 12 loops for revolver ammo at the right front, and 20 loops for .45-75 ammo behind that and around the back.  the Left front was open for the flapped holster, worn crossdraw, for the Adams or Enfield service revolvers.  In 1887 a bandolier was adopted with 6 revolver loops at each end and 40 loops for carbine ammo.

I think you will have to have them copied if that suits your fancy.  I have a belt planned for myself, with perhaps a bandolier to follow.

In 1885, 200 Anson-Mills belts were acquired by the NWMP in olive green, as tried out by the US Navy.

I hadn't thought about getting a fair weather Christian belt but that would be quite cool and appropriate because I could use it for both Spencer and 45-75 shells (both of them being 50 call at the base).  They don't seem to offer one in 50 but I can send them and ask.  Normally I use leather from Old West Reproductions but I don't have the scratch for one at the moment (about $175).  $69-79 for a Fair Weather Christian seems cheap in comparison.

The Cabella's belt seems a little too modern for me.

Thanks for the posts

I think a nice canvas belt for .410 shotgun cartridges would make a reasonable stand-in until you could obtain your period correct item.
Canvas is just as hard wearing as leather and easily cleaned and kept serviceable, and must have been used by virtually every armed force at some time.

The .410 is 45 cal, not 50 cal so it won't fit the 45-75 (which is made from a 50 cal case).

I did not know that, just goes to show that you are never to old to learn, (or show your ignorance). ???
I was confusing the '76 cartridge with the Sharpes one which is straight, not bottle necked. ::)
Apparently they had to use a necked down .50cal because the action of the '76 was not long enough for the Sharpes .45-75.
In that case try a 28 bore belt (he said, not to be outdone) ;D

I had started to say that I made my own but had a power outage right in the middle of my disserration so will start over.  I made my own genuine authentic canvas belt out of two pieces of canvas that I glued together and used the leftovers for the belt loops.  It took awhile but it is worth it.  I made mine for my 40-82 single shot/paper patch long range rifle.  It holds 40 rounds and is a damn site cheeper than buying one if you have a mind to make your own.  Mine looks pretty damn original and is very functional.  I suppose that I am treading on sacred ground here in that I didn't buy mine but made it.  Were I to undertake the same operation for my 45-75 it would not be too difficult either.  After the belt itself is done then take a couple of cartridges and cut the loop material so that you start at one end and lay the cartridge along side it and sew it up and then do the same thing again and again until you got to the end where you want to end up.  Then get your leather belt pieces and rivet them to the belt and you are done.  Looks pretty damn cool and you can say that you done made it your ownself.   ;)
