I want to make a set of holsters.  I really like the "josey wales" look with the open toe.  Are these holsters legal as SASS match holsters?

Thanks,

If they are the ones I am thinking of, yes, as most all holsters are SASS legal. It just depends on a few classes, like Classic Cowboy and BWestern, as to the type of holster you wish to wear.
That and they gotta be leather.

As long as you keep the cant within SASS guidelines everything is ok, as far as rules go.  Best I can remember the holsters were a fair bit shorter than just open toe, I think the barl protruded about two inches out the bottom.  Kinda looked rustic and I really like rustic but with some sights one can get into trouble with this style carry wanting to snag the sight.  Always be sure you are using very small or at least a well ramped style sight to cut down on the chance of snagging on the draw.
