Just received a 32 DA S&W 4th model pocket pistol in overall very good shape. It functions fine in double action and seems to lock up very tight. It will not stay cocked in single action, and the hammer stays completely down so that the firing pin protrudes through the frame. My thinking is that the rear sear may be bad. Forgive my ignorance, but I've never really delved into a DA of this sort. Mostly fooled with SA and am competent. Would appreciate any advice as to whether my diagnosis is probable, and to what course to proceed. Would also like to find the proper replacement parts if someone might have an extra.

I have one of these little pistols. Try the following link for parts. I have not done business with the guy but his site has the parts.

Preacher Clint    If you cant locate parts,or think it may be beyond you, this fellow   http://thesmithshop.com/ can get it up and runing. He made springs for one of mine that were not avaiable.  Good Luck  Sgt.Jake
