Well before I hounded you guys here, I did a search on a topic, and came up dry.

Two tone leather working like the one Wiley has done here

How do you two tone leather and not get any bleed over?
He has nice clear cut lines. Nice job Wiley.... :)

I dye the edge of the darker color with a very fine camel hair brush. If the brush is too wet, the dye will wick into where you don't want it. A little practice will tell you how much dye to have in your brush. With a very small, pointed brush, you run less risk of putting too much on.

I always change color against a swivel knife cut. The kife cut doesn't need to be beveled, either. Look at the trim on the airplane in this pic, there is a very fine swivel knife cut outlining it.

Forgive the blemishes on that case, It has a whole lot of air miles on it and is showing some wear.

Howdy
I work my color up to my cut line so my brush is drier and less chance of bleeding over.

Well OK a brush it is...but of course if your like me...it will something akin to a Bull in a China shop concerning finesse and grace.... ;D

Thank you Hank for the nice compliment very much appreciated.  I can't add anything to what Will and WC said they have light years of experience on me. I echo what WC said about starting with the brush away from the line and work towards it as the brush has less dye on it.
Nice stagger-wing Will beautiful airplane and you did it proud.

Thanks, Wiley. The staggerwing is one of my favorites.

Very nice carving Marshal!..... I just caught myself following the lines of that plane with my finger just to make sure my screen was still flat.

As a pilot I can sure appreciate your good taste. Thank you for posting this.
