When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears,
be thankful for our beautiful years.
I gave you my love.  You can only guess
how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each has shown.
But now it is time I traveled alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It is only for a time that we must part,
so bless the memories within your heart.

I will not be far away, for life goes on,
so if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near,
and if you listen with your heart you will hear
all my love around you soft and clear.
And then, some day, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home".

Profound words written by a friend of mine who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.  May God embace this brave spirit.

Amen, and prayers up for your Friend and his Family and friends. May the Great Spirit watch over them.

Thank you Danny, those words mean alot to me right now.  The word "terminal" is a nasty word.  Hopefully someday it will not be.

Prayers for you and yours,

McMate
