Good article for "Deadwood" fans

I'm not usually a reader of THE NEW YORKER magazine, but a recent issue had a very long article/interview with the main writer/creater of the show Deadwood. It is the NEW YORKER Anniversary issue that came out this month.

It really provided a lot of insight to the characters and the style of writing. As part of the writer's "research" he spent several months hanging out with Gary Lefeww and some other rodeo stars (and then some ended up on the show!)
