Pony Racer

Sir, I regreat to inform you that I will be on limited duty for 4-6 weeks after tuesday afternoon.

The bethesda Md medical staff will be removing some flesh that came back as positive for basil cell cancer.

Most unfortunately it will stop my shooting activites for 4-6 weeks.

The area is right where the shoulder neck and back join up - so wearing shirts might be interesting the first few days after the surgery.

I will keep you posted on my progress back to fit for duty status.

Prayers up for you and the medical personnel. My wife had two removed from her back about 5 years ago. Been smooth sailing ever since. Expecting the same result for you as well.

Hope you have plenty of reading material to keep you busy. I'm guessing you'll be reloading while recovering.

Thanks Sir, my body definitely will appreciate the down time!!

The local drugs finally wore off yesterday evening - they always make me woozy.

not being able to move my neck and head is tough but not bad.

I will be home most likely for a week and then see about work but dr's want me to take it light and then be pretty guarded about upper body stuff for 4 more weeks after that.

the cool thing is that i should be good to go then about a week before my 40th b-day which will make for a nice b-day to be able to move around normal and shoot again.

Oh - wear sunblock, keep your sleeves down and watch your neck and shoulders!!!

PR

BTW I will know in 10-14 days if they got all the bad stuff and will let you know
