I recently purchased the 58 remmy 5-1/2" from Cabelas. It is certainly a beautiful gun, and the finish is outstanding. Makes me not want to shoot it ;D. My question is with the fit. First issue is that the cylinder pin is quite loose, it moves in and out very easily and the cylinder has just a little play ( side to side in the front, not endshake, as it will not move forward to back). When you shake the gun you can hear a slight rattle from the cylinder. Will this cause any issues when shooting? I realize that as the gun begins to foul it will tighten up some but wonder if the first few shots will cause any problems. As you know the cylinder pin is not removable on the 5-1/2" model so I can't check it to see if it is slightly undersized, or if the bore is too big. I have an 8" brass frame model, that is much tighter than this one, but don't know if this inherent for the brass frame. Also the grips are ill fitting in a few places.  Could someone help me decide if these are defects warranting a return?

Thanks a million

Being as how Cabala's offers an no questions asked return policy...I'd be incline to return it, if your not 100% pleased.

The reasoning here is not so much the issues.. but the sent message to both Cabela's & Pietta that Quality control needs to be addressed further still...
Otherwise, they might assume status quo and at the current rate of decline $ VS EURO they are not getting any cheaper.
