Anyone ever heard of this round and know if/where brass/reloading supplies can be found fer it?

Cuts, I've heard of it, don't remember much of it. Theres a place that specializes in the odd/old calibers, but CRS is striking and all I can remember is Buffalo is part of the name. Believe they have dies, brass, etc...........Buck 8) ::) ;).......Just got the name, Buffalo Arms.......Buck 8) ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Delmonico

It is based on the 45-2.4 case sometimes known as the 45-90.  It is similar to the 40-65 only 0.3 inches longer.   I've got some stuff on it around here, but I have to dig.  If you need it drop me a PM next week and remind me.  RCBS should have dies to form it from 45-90 if you have to go that route.  Ya got a 1886, a High-Wall or a fishgun?

Buffalo Arms does not list brass for the 45-82, but I would still give them a call, they are a great outfit to do business with and I bet that they could help you out.

they get 99% of my BPCR business.

Yo Cuts Crooked,

I have one of these in a Winchester 1886. They are a hoot to shoot. If you like a big boom and a stout recoil, you'll love this thing. Buffalo Arms does carry the brass and dies. Talk to Dave or Cody, but I think you'd want the Winchester cases and not the Bell; also the RCBS dies, even though they are more expensive.
BA is kind of shy on bullets in the weight of these. Original factory loads were 260 grains. They don't carry anything real close to this (245 & 280). You can get real nice 260 bullets from Randy @ http://www.lonestarbulletco.com/pages/891060/.

P F, you are so right about Buffalo Arms having 40-82 brass and whatever else you would need for it.  I have no idea what I typed in thier search engine to come with nothing like I did; but I will be more careful next time. :-[ :-[

Howdy Doody

Howdy Cuts,
A friend of mine got brass from Old Western Scroungers for his 40-82 winchester. A fine hunting lever gun if there ever was one.

Thanx pards!
A freind of mine has acquired an 86 Winchester in this chambering and he wants to put it back to work but doesn't much about guns. This one isn't what I'd cal a collectable so I thought I'd try to help him get the things he needs to make it go again.

I knew I cuold cuont on my pards here to help me out! :)
