I just received my M1887 Sling from Eureka Arsenal to go with my 1898 Krag, and it is VERY nice!  I ordered one from a different supplier a few years ago, and it was absolute crap compared to this one.  Bravo to Eureka Arsenal!

I've recently found their website and they seem to have good stuff.
How's their quality? Do they ship quickly?

Niederlander

The 1887 sling is the only thing I've ordered from them so far, so I can't vouch for anything else, but I really like the sling!  It compares very favorably with the original sling that came on the rifle.  It will look even better when the leather darkens a little with use.  Hope he has what you're looking for!  By the way, they shipped pretty quickly, too.  He still had to make one when I ordered it, but it still arrived in a very timely fashion.

Mr. Niederlander, how much is the sling from Eureka? I looked at their store but could not find a price.

Niederlander

Hello!
Their slings are $35, and worth the price!  The prices are on the order form.  Good luck!

Outstanding Mr. Niederlander Sir!

I had bought one of the S&S slings, but returned it because of it's low quality. The Turner Saddlery slings are nice, but pricey. I have an old one, but I fear that if a troop were to look at it too hard, it would fall to pieces!

I have been employing your method as applied to rapid bolt manipulation of the Krag rifle, and have found your method to be the most satisfactory for me, I just have to hold the fingers of the firing hand straighter than when woking the British Lee or Mauser inspired Springfield, so as to keep from striking the protruding magazine cover of the Krag.

Many thanks for all of the information that you have provided!
