I'm looking for a good, accurate load for my Thunderbolt. I'm currently loading 250gr RNFP lead bullets. I have on hand, Universal, Clays, and Unique powders. I'm willing to change powders and bullets if necessary. ;)
I just recently received my replacement Taurus Thunderbolt from the factory. I sent the original in because I couldn't get it to hit anywhere near point of aim. The closest I could get was about 7in right, with sights drifted as much as possible.
The new one also seems to be hitting right of point of aim, but not as bad as the orignal.
Thanks

I have been loading 45lc since about 1973. I am an old timer and use Unique, is a bit dirty but I like it. I use Bearcreek 205gr rnfp bullets. If you would be interested in my load data just drop me a pm or email,

I shoot it in Taylors 5 1/2" SSA, EMF GW 5 1/2 and in an EMF 20" 73 rifle. While it is a fairly lite load, I have hit clay birds laying on the ground 2 outta 3 times sighting poa. from approx 80-90 yards, and I ain't that good at longrange shootin

One of the powders you have on hand is very good in the 45 Colt. Send me a e-mail at dandlinla@charter.net for load info
