Fingers McGee

My references say 1596 made.  5th (2007) Edition Black Powder Blue Book list NIB value at $850.  There have been a couple go on Gunbroker recently at around $900 - 950 IIRC.

While I don't have a pair of them, I do have a NIB one with a leather covered traveling case with 2nd Gen accessories (SS nipple wrench & cleaning rod) and shoulder stock.

Very nice Fingers, Those matching accessories realy make that a nice set, probably pretty rare at that...

I did laugh at the offer when it was made.  Mine are both unfired also. Little investiment in mine.
They can be safe queens for a long time.

I have a cased set (two pistols) of the Colt 1860 Second Generation Cavalry Commemoratives (blued/cased hardened) with all factory accouterments with matching serial numbers and original wooden presentation box in unfired condition.

These are going from anywhere from $1600.00 to $2000.00 up at auction.

I plan on shooting mine, that's what they were made for.

Both pistols have the same serial numbers and the inspectors cartouche imprinted in the one piece wooden grips

Wise words. I always said, when you want an 'Wall Hanger', hope that is the right word, buy a painting.
Had this discussion with some guys about my Henry. How can you shoot it. That's what it was made for.
I had shoot the Henry before the 'upgrade' and i shoot the Henry after the 'upgrade'.
;D
