They are not only authentic but they are ultra comfortable and fit like house slippers. I mention this as hats & boots are the two major areas where I see most people lacking in authenticity. Here's a chance to get authentic, good fitting boots for less than $150 shipped. Remember, boots for our time period were almost all one piece front and the "Cowboy" style most think of did not come into play until the late 1870's, so this type of boot was the most common well into the 1880's
