Hi all,
Just starting into the SASS / CAS shooting and I'm trying to gathering up information for my background and alias.  My question to the forum is:
What Calvary units were in the west and what forts were built around the 1850 to 1899 (Indian wars)? I hope this is not to broad a question. Any thing you can send me would be helpful. Thanks

As a related questiion, since I'm away from my library:

What cavalry regiments were assigned to the Arizona and New Mexico Territories between 1880 and 1886?

I know the 4th Cavalry was, and probably the 9th and/or 10th, but I'm not sure about any others.
