Howdy all. For years I was Mtnman on AOL which I used because I was a mountain man reenactor (and it was initially convenient when I first logged on). I've been searching for an alias and have decided to use my Great Grandfather's name - Doctor Columbus Taylor Neeley, or shortened to Doc Neeley.

He lived from 1848 til he was killed in Indian Territory in Tuskahoma in 1884.

I'm no relation (I know of) to JW Neeley here. Although I have relatives in TX. AR, and OK.
All America lies at the end of the wilderness road, and our past is not a dead past, but still lives in us. Our forefathers had civilization inside themselves, the wild outside. We live in the civilization they created, but within us the wilderness still lingers. What they dreamed, we live, and what they lived, we dream. -- T.K. Whipple

Well Howdy Doc!  If you're happy then I'm happy!   ;)

Howdy, Doc Neeley!

Do you know how to run or hide a still in those mountains? If so, maybe you really are related to my cousin, J. W. (I'm still waiting for him to fix that one the revenuers got)

I once was acquainted with a Mtnman on AOL, but he lived in Virginny and it was years ago.

Anyway, welcome!

Years ago for me too Annie back on AOL He*#!

Never ran a still but I have visited a couple. Lightnin from a mason jar sure does warm ya after a deer hunt. (Or single malt scotch at the distillery after a round of golf). ;D
