While watching TV and eating JELLO, with my trusty Uberti .45 Remington conversion on my lap. Unnoticed by me, i had dropped some lime Jello on my revolver. Several days later i noticed that this sticky stuff had removed some of my blueing right down to white metal ,clean as can be. Moral--Don't eat Jello without a baby bib ,with catchers pocket ,when playing with your toys. Red Leg

Do you think it would work on rusted metal the same way ??? ???  Hmmmmm isn't lime acidic, and maybe that's what did in your Remington finish :'( :'(
