Just got a 1847 made by Uberti. It is a beautiful piece of work. VERY satisfied with it.

Congrats you will love shooting it too....  however when the ramming lever drops on the 2nd or third shot remember it's Period Correct , the orginial did it too..that's why the Dragoon and later designs have a catch.

I'll liken it to my Henry, and it's slide Magazine, King improved it in 66 ...but I like the Henry

Walker's & Henry's ..."Ol" Gus would be proud  ;D

Enjoy, both the gun and the looks of amazements ...As you got style baby !
when planets align...do the deal !

You can improve on the Lever Latch's holding ability by very CAREFULLY stoning the angle on that little spring latch.

By doing this it increases the force required to overcome the spring tension.

But go very slow and easy on this!  If you change it too much you can end up LOCKING your Lever in the "up" position.

Also, you'll find the Walker much more pleasant and easy to shoot if you drop back to a Dragoon's charge of 45g AND switch to 2F Powder instead of 3F. ;)
