Who makes Uberti Sharps rifles?

Who makes the Uberti Sharps rifles, do they make their own or does Pedersoli make them for Uberti?

howdy Hooey,
That is a $64.00 question! I read and read, and the magority of what I have read is that Uberti pits them toghter, but the parts are Pedersoli . From what I have read several times, Pedersoli and unberti had some sort of deal work out, that Uberti wouldn't make a Sharps and Pedersoli wouldn't make any high walls. They way i hear it both companies what to open there market up more, so they decided to do a under the table jiont effort?
Now that is just what I have read in the last 2 weeks, and it is all hearsay!!!
I wished, I could tell you for sure! but I cannot.

It's Pedersoli. Guaranteed.

The most recent ones for sure are Pedersoli. I don't believe that Uberti assembles them as the barrels
would have had to be threaded and chambered by Pedersoli. The original ones even said Pedersoli on
them, I believe under the forearm.

Now why do you ask ?

Because I have heard good stuff about Pedersoli's, especially their barrels, and I'm looking at an 1874 Uberti Sharps for a possible purchase. Thanks much to those who replied.

Pedersoli barrels have a choke lapped into them. One of my Sharps is a Pedersoli. It shoots very well. My friend
is going to buy it and I simply threw some loads together using the same amount of powder, compression
etc that I use in my 45-70 CPA Stevens. Well the rifle shot a 12 shot group, 1 1/2 in high by 3 wide at 100
yards. The horizontal stringing was most likely induced by newness to the rifle, the bad light conditions we shot under
and the size of the target. For a rifle to shoot that tight a group, with an untuned blackpowder load,
goes far in saying what their barrels are capable of.

Historically, between now and the end of the year, the importers that handle straight Pedersoli brand
rifles typically run inventory sales prior to inventory tax time. You ought to follow the links back and
check who is selling what before you buy and Uberti branded rifle. you might get more gun for
the same money if you go with straight Pedersoli
