hidecrafter catalog is now available to download via their website

saw post on leatherworker.net today about hidecrafter having new catalog on their website.

downloaded it but dont like the way it looks.

dang near everything in the catalog is marked discountinued..
looks like all videos are discountinued, even chan geer's videos on sheridan carving.

looks like im gonna have to call Mr Geer about where i can get his videos and workbooks on sheridan carving.

Thats what I was saying on that other post. Most everything I wanted to order, they didnt have anymore. Kind of frustrating. I hope they come back from whatever is ailing them.

Thanks for letting us know about the catalog being up again, Knuck. I took a quick look and there are still some things available that I've been meaning to pick up. I'll have to go through that catalog in my leisure. At least it's downloaded, now.

Thanks for the heads up. havent been to tandy store since novemeber.
will need to get up there this weekend need some buckles so i can finish shoulder holsters.
and will take a look at the next chan geer class. hope work wont get in the way of the class.

They were cleaning out all the VHS last year, but most everything is still there on DVD.

I also downloaded their holiday sale flier. There were a couple of Lancer S/S swivel knives on sale for 1/3 off. I've been meaning to eventually pick something up to replace one of the two crummy ones I have. For that price, I called Ron Saturday and ordered them both. I still need to get a new main one but that'll be later on. They also had a Toro 3000 sewing machine on sale, but I resisted the temptation to get that. It's still eating at me, though.

      I talked to Ron at Hide Crafters last Saturday, and ordered a couple Barry King stamps, I guess Ron has had to down size a little, hard times have hit a lot of small business this last two years, but at least he's keeping his head above water, and he still has a nice line to offer us leather pards, so I wished him well and told him I'd be giving him an order here and there.
