Hoof;  I had to read through that whole download.  The last page was an ad for the complete RIFLE series in a boxed set of CD-ROM, for only 5 payments of $120.

Ok, I thought you meant the hull conditioner was 5 payments of 120 bucks ;)

I have most of the Rifle magazines, but I am missing a few years in the middle (sure would like to find the ones I need).
I also have every issue of Handloader (and quite a few to sell or barter). These things are a treasure trove of information for a guy like me who loads obscure stuff!!!

MSRP is $76.68.
The device isn't imported. Thermagic conditioners are manufactured in northern Wisconsin, right here in the U.S.A.

Since they are made in Barron, WI and I have reason to go north soon, I'll stop by their business and see what I can learn.  I like to know what's available to shotgun hand loaders.  I have a few recipes that could make good use of such a device since they need the strongest crimps available.

FWIW, since it's a heat source I'd not use it in my loading lab.  I don't want anything that makes heat near my Holy Black.  The only light bulbs in my lab are fluorescent and nothing gets in the door that generates enough heat to ignite powder or primers.

I have a big box of Winchester/Western/Ranger paper hulls. They are once fired, but do seem to work alright in my TTN. They definitely work in my 97. Havent tried them in the 87 tho. I havent put a roll crimp on any yet, as the original crimp still holds good this go round.
When I got these from an older gentleman, he also gave me a hull conditioner. It looks like an old soldering iron. You plug it in, and start turning the hulls back into shape. The few times I used it, it worked alright. No thermostat, so you have to shut it down after so long tho.

HeyDick, I ordered and received the roll crimper, shell trimmer from Precision. I then called and talked to the guy at Circle Fly about the Federal paper and he loves them. He told me everything I needed to know and is sending me the wads. I had a few wads that was given to me so I tried to load one up. Trimmed about 1/4 inch off and then loaded the shell until I had about that amount left from the top. Just used my hand drill and did my first roll crimp. It turned out looking like a factory shell. I'm HOOKED BIG TIME!!! That roll crimp looks like the shells I used as a young boy. Shot Frontier Cartridge Saturday and came in last but probably had more fun than first. My whole posse of 13 were all shooting 38 spl mouse fart loads. The times of 32 sec to my 61 were normal. One shooter's loads were so light that you had to listen close to hear the little ting. One of our best gamers almost went into shock when he missed a target, I told him that unless it's for money, food or protecting one's loved ones it's not worth worring about. Sure don't understand them folks. Told the wife that I wanted a 12 speed bench top drill press for Xmas. Will do them roll crimps!! Thanks for the Help. l
