OK then, whats your favorite matches?

Lets get to the positive side now......What are your favorite Black Powder Matches.  Anything set them apart in your mind to make them special.   I remember gettin to Cody every year and being greeted at the entrance " We are real glad you are here.  Its been a long ride, can we help you set up camp or get you settled?"  Best part is they meant it.

That match is always special to me.    I try to do the same thing as people show up for Fandango.

The Cody match is one that I have wanted to go to.  I've heard great things from other sources about that match.  I think next year I am going to try to get to the match at Hooten and Possum Trot.  They are much closer for me than Cody now.

I enjoyed the Two match weekend that the Western Wisconsin Wild Bunch put on.  Saturday it was a monthly SASS match with extra bells and whistles.  Sunday they had a NCOWS match.  Same stages but entirely different scripts.  When I got home I made a big note to myself to make SURE to do this one again.

FWIW, there was way MORE SMOKE at the NCOWS match.

My favorite blackpowder match is actually the only ones that I shoot that are all blackpowder and the club, The Brimstone Pistoleros, always put on a fun shoot. Innovative classes and retro style scenarios. We just had the last shoot of the year and it was a doozy. More fun packed in than you can imagine, so you just have to shoot it to know for sure.

I shoot every match with blackpowder and have a lot of fun at the ones I shoot, but the Brimstone BP matches are all shot by like minded CAS shooters and we have a lot of fun.

I enjoy our Nebraska State Blackpowder Shootout! Of course, its the only Blackpowder shoot I have been to, but I enjoy it very much. We have fun stages, fun people, and a fun time!
