My New Neck Knife

I have been wanting to get a knife with a "stone" blade, and happened on this one with a deerskin sheath. So I grabbed it.

Any body able to tell me what stone it is?

then there is a pix of me wearing it at the Harvest Fair this weekend...good time.

Looks like that to me also, wasn't sure of it because of the color, but I checked and it does come in other shades, all I ever see is the black stuff.

BTW met a guy who makes them down in Kansas at Hollenburg Station this year, here is some of his wares.
