I'm so excited I could give birth!

I took delivery today on a Uberti 1876 Winchester in .45-75 caliber with the 28 inch barrel. Lucky I have a horse or two to help me carry this thing in the woods!!

Barrel is stamped "Dixie Gun Works"....must be Confederate issue....? ;D

Brass "lifter" is stamped 45-75. I had heard they might be doing that, I was glad.

Tang is stamped "Model 1876".

Wood is plain, but that's okay.....ITS AN 1876!!!

I am lucky....we all are to be able to live in a time when we can have a very nice reproduction of such a famous rifle.

I will post other info on this site as I progress with loading and shooting.

This is better-n-Christmas!!!

Thanks, Grizzly. Maybe soon I'll concoct a pic of some kind. It is rather plain in the wood but ANY 1876 is pretty to me!
