I am told, that all Remington #1 rolling block have the side plate that holds both the bolt & trigger pins in place. There are othere versions made it many countries and they have added a extra srew that holds the pins in place! My 1867 Swede H has nothing to hold the pins in place, it has notches in both pins to use the Remington bracket! But no hole in the action to use the Remington style hold down. Do you think that there is anyway that this action, was never finished, and never made into a gun?
If anyone has any idea's let me know!
I am going to make the Remingtin hold down and drill and tap the casting!
I would like to here frome all the pards that have dealt with Rolling Block.
