Hmmm, Dont hold the pistols too close together.
Shrapnel in the palm is a pain.
Powder burns dont wash out of finger tips.
Walkers dont light synthetic sweaters on fire.
Walker loaded with 45gr, round ball, and borebutter on target at 2 foot makes a mess of aforementioned sweater.
Intentional fires are called Arson.

Shot the whole 6 stages today with my Remington 58s  gunfighter, except the last stage, which had a dump 5 on a guy in a sweater about 2 foot away, and I used the Walker on that one. It didnt light, but had some nasty stains from all the bore butter going down range. Thats probably why it didnt light. :-\

Great shooting Dalton!

Sounds like a good time!

You think shrapnel in the palm is a pain, try it in the wrist. When I 1st started shooting GF I had a tendency to "pull" the firing pistol farther back (I blame years of muscle memory shooting with the weaver stance). The forcing cone was then lined up with the off hands wrist. Bout the 4th or 5th time I did it I learned better... Cant say Im a slow learner  ;D

I have only started one fire and that was shooting a shotgun over a hay bale. It got put out quick enough. I never have had any other issues other than one club banned me from shooting my BP loads and I just simply don't shoot that club any more at all, and that ended all thier concerns. Funny part about it is their bays are just dirt, but the bay berms are covered with weeds. Whatever.  ::)

I would think a synthetic sweater would be tough to light, but easy to melt. Speaking of melting, I like to see BP shooter that use plastic wads, stick them right onto steel shotgun targets. Kewl.

DM, it sounds like you haqd a real fun day and only one miss too, most excellent.  :)

Howdy, I like seeing the wads stick too. I have seen some fiber ones hit the target dead center, stick and the kd still not go down. Must be a hole in the pattern.

When we do our pocket pistol matches, we use flannel shirts with clay pigeons in the pockets. I have set them afire with 38 S&W loads. DM
