I can picture it now.  Johnny strolls up to the pearly gates.  He grins at St. Peter.  Peter throws those gates open wide as the heavly big band strikes up The Tonight Show theme.  St. Peter lets out a long and rolling HHHHEEEEERRRREEEE'SSSSSS JOHNNY!!!!!!!

And let's hope that he doesn't have to do a tomahawk tossing demonstration with Ed Ames (Mingo on Dan'l Boone).  I don't know if anyone ever saw that, but I did and it was totally hilarious.  Ed Ames was Johnny's guest and they were talking  about the Dan'l Boon TV show.  The conversation came around to tomahawk tossing and a demonstration was needed.  They had an outline of a man on stage.  Ames gets up with a hawk and loosens up, then tosses it.  It flew across the stage and stuck in the outline....right in the crotch!  This totally destroyed everyone including Ames and Carson.  Johnny's comment about he didn't know Ames was Jewish totally brought down the house.  It was the longest laugh session in television history.

I remember seeing that on one of the anniversary shows.  Johnny destroyed Ames with the line, "I didn't even know you were Jewish!"
