I have always found that "The Hair of The Dog" was the best remedy.

I tried to give that a try, but the derned dawg bit me.

There was this Irish descended feller at my last outing that had so many flasks in his shirt that he made an awful ruckus every time he moved.  I guess he didn't want to look like a drunk walking around with a full sized jug.
