I'm a newbie at holsters and I've learned a lot from this forum.  Thanks to you all for sharing your knowledge.  My question is, which comes first dyeing or stamping?
Thanks again.

Howdy and welcome!!
Stamping comes before dying. I have tried it the other way, but dont get very good impressions after dying first.
Good luck and show us some of your work!

Welcome, charliek. make yourself at home, here.

Dalton is right. If you try to stamp after it's dyed, the leather acts differently and the impressions don't look as good.

The water doesn't soak into the leather properly if it is dyed first as the dye is somewhat water resistant. I always stamp first.
